Dear Lawrence residents,
At 4:30 PM on September 11th, the Lawrence Committee held a monthly Town Hall meeting over Zoom. The following are the minutes of that meeting.
- On Monday, September 8, 2025, the Department of Public Safety received multiple reports of burglaries from motor vehicles located on Lawrence Drive (Our apartment complex!). These incidents occurred between 5 p.m. on September 7, and noon on September 8. Victims shared there were no signs of forced entry to the vehicles, but items were reported stolen or “moved around.” DPS is actively investigating this incident. Anyone with additional information is encouraged to call the Department of Public Safety at (609) 258-1000.

- Report suspicious behavior, vehicles, or activities to the Department of Public Safety at 609-258-1000 or by using any Blue Light Emergency Phone located throughout campus.
- Keep windows up and doors locked.
- Do not leave property unattended and in plain sight on your seat, keep valuable items locked in your trunk.

- Long-term budgeting
- We have approximately $8,000 in our current budget that needs to be used
- We could allocate some % of committee budget specifically for the garden
- Email listserv
- We remind residents that the regular Lawrence listserv is down, and general communication may be slower as a result
- Elections
- Elections for the Lawrence Committee are coming up soon. If you want to run you MUST attend at least one town hall prior to the election. Please attend and run!
- Bike Pump / Repair Station
- TPS has now installed bike pumps / repair stations in graduate locations.

- Insurance and pet document reminder
- If you are a student who has renewed your apartment
- You must submit proof of insurance annually
- You must upload up-to-date documentation for pets in the housing portal

- Fitness facilities
- Due to liability reasons Lawrence cannot have fitness equipment.
- We can’t have access to the Lakeside rec rooms as we are not residents of Lakeside.
