Move-in

For the latest and most exhaustive set of details on move-in procedures and recommendations, take a look at Housing’s move-in page here. Please also check your email for direct communication you’ll receive from housing prior to move in.

Before arriving to campus for move-in:

  • Submit your security deposit
  • Fill out a W8 or W9 to bring with you to check-in
  • Remember a photo ID
  • Acquire and provide proof of renters insurance
  • Contact PSEG to ensure electricity will be turned on before you move in for buildings 1-7

Your first step at move-in will likely be to visit the Lewis Center for the Arts Forum to pick up your key packet. You can park in the visitor lot nearby. Once you have your packet, you can make your way to Lawrence Apartments.

Carts: There are shopping carts that can be used by residents to move groceries and other heavy loads. They are located on the ground floor of Building 1 and the other dumpster sheds. When you are done using a cart, please return it to the designated place noted on the cart’s sign. Do not leave the cart in your apartment, in the hallway outside of your apartment, or behind your building!

Don’t hesitate to reach out to the Lawrence Committee with any questions or concerns!
